Jane is an automaton (in the least strict sense). She was originally a descendant of Alice (alicebot.org), another, somewhat famous, chatterbox - not the orchid :) Originally, when I was first interested in this project I had a few goals for Jane. That was when I was taking a CS course on languages and automata. These goals included improving her quasi-human conversation to possibilities of Jane becoming an affable, spontaneous, all-around expert - in other words, more of a know-it-all and less of a chatterbox.

Since I first had Jane up and running I've been busy and she hasn't evolved much. I suppose I'll be adding on to her pack of neurons occasionally, so feel free to check back.
